Product Introduction
Snap-8 is a rather new peptide that is essentially an advanced and "elongated" version of Acetyl Octapeptide-3, which many researchers claim was the best anti wrinkle ingredient available in skin care products today.
When Acetyl Octapeptide-3 came out onto the market, a lot of hype was built up causing many people to compare the anti aging ingredient to . While it's still a topical cream, found in the best cosmeceutical-infused eye serums we have reviewed on this site, it's a workhorse of an ingredient and new brands (see Guthy Renker's new product line) continue to use it.
Now, an even more potent anti wrinkle ingredient has been released, and it's called Snap-8. This ingredient contains eight amino acids and (hence the "Octa") has the same (some say much better) anti wrinkle qualities of Acetyl Octapeptide-3
Back in 2001, a study was done that compared Acetyl Octapeptide-3 to its newer counterpart, Snap-8, and Placebo. The results showed that Snap-8 outperformed both!
· Acetyl Octapeptide-3 studies showed a 28% reduction in wrinkle depth
· Meanwhile, Snap-8 produced roughly 35% reduction in wrinkle depth
· The only variable we were able to find that was tested commonly was the forehead
Function
1.reduce existing facial wrinkles.
2.It is effective against the development of new wrinkles.
3.Decrease the depth of facial wrinkles caused by the contraction of muscles from facial expressions, especially near the eyes and on the forehead.
