| Description | Carbomer also called Carbobol or Carboxypoly-methylene is a generic name for synthetic high molecular weight polymers of a crylic acid used as thickening, dispersing, suspending and emulsifying agents and cosmetics. They may be homopolymers of a crylic acid, crosslinked with an a llyl e ther p entaerythritol, a llyl e ther of sucrose or a llyl e ther of p ropylene.
