Function	Gem citabine hydrochloride is a 2'-deoxycytidine hydrochloriode having geminal fluoro substituents in the 2'-position. An inhibitor of ribonucleotide reductase, gem citabine hydrochloride is used in the treatment of various carcinomas, including non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, bladder cancer and breast cancer.

 

1)Acute myeloid leukemia: Whether be used alone or in combination with other antineoplastic drugs, dau norubicin is indicated for the treatment of various tumor staging of acute myeloid leukemia; it is also indicated for the treatment of promyelocytic leukemia. 
2)Acute lymphocytic leukemia: Although dau norubicin has a high remission rate for the treatment of acute lymphocytic leukemia, but because of its serious side effects and there are other effective therapeutic methods available, dau norubicin is only applied to those cases that have become resistant to other drugs. Co-administration of dau norubicin hydrochloride with p rednisone and vinc ristine has been proven to be very successful in the acute phase of acute lymphocytic leukemia. 
3)Other tumors: Dau norubicin showed a good effect on the treatment of neuroblastoma and rhabdomyosarcoma.
